That vent looks really good.

Need to add a milling machine to the Christmas list!

Built a tree house in the apple tree for Grandson - or maybe his children by the time he gets to see it if lockdown goes on indefinitely.

Plus - and I know this is boring - but for each detective novel I read (just got a cheap set of Tess Gerritson books), I am reading one of the theology books which I bought and kept meaning to read. Don`t worry - I am feeling fine and not "swotting for my finals"! When I finish the Gerritson books I am going to reread my Gunnar Staalesen, Varg Veum novels (based in Bergen , Norway).
Must go - project for this afternoon - make a corned beef hash for evening meal - the food of the gods!

Caliper decals went on relatively easily, then lacquered them in.

Huge amount of masking for spray paint, even removing it afterwards took a while. Would consider hand painting if I had to do the job again.

Thanks for the comments on the vent, it looks better in the photo than with the naked eye.

You need something to keep the lathe company, then there's the TIG welder... and......and......

Thanks John, the wires will get a good clean before replacing. Some gratification for all the work are savings on MMC prices for red or yellow caliper option at £594+VAT!

Look forward to seeing your bonnet vent fitted, envious of your skills.

Where another leads, I followed. However, my 2006 plus 4 calipers did not have the luxury of a nice flat surface and the decals were tricky to apply. It took 4 decals to get two in place satisfactorily. Then sprayed with High Temp lacquer. It will be interesting to see if they last.
That said you are right it does look nice through the spokes
