its that time of year again and I'm looking at various insurance options.

I've been with Heritage for years (although never made a claim) and they've always been very competitive and thorough with my classic cars (Stag, TR6, etc). I get agreed value and 3000 miles for £290 which is about double what I paid last year for the Stag.

A quick flip around suggests I can get Lancaster (who I don't like on Principle but thats along story and plenty do like them) for £99 but when I go via their website it jumps up to £160 plus I have to phone to confirm some details.

So I'm going to spend a bit of time today phoning round but who do others use?

Adrian Flux, Footman James and two I know of and I can have a look in TM, interested in first hand experience though

Thanks

Gary

I'm also with Gott & Wynne and have recently insured our two VWs with them at very attractive rates compared with the the usual big names.
A big plus is the personal service.

The thing is guys, I read a story relating to resolving a claim from a Morgan owner seemingly insured with a Morgan specialist insurer, who had to go to great lengths to receive a settlement...?

Bottom line when recommending insurers or agents thereof, securing the cheapest premium may have little consolation should you be in the unfortunate situation of having to make a claim that may seem to be poorly handled..?

Lancaster are shocking bad, as they are now owed by Markerstudy insurance. I am now with Peter Best who have been good but haven’t made a claim yet..

I have used Headley from day one 16 years ago and now have three cars and the house with them.

My Sport got written off 6 years ago in a head on with a so called celebrity chef and I had the cheque within a fortnight, I deal with Chris Watts and he is excellent nothing is a problem and the premiums are good imho.

No connections other than a satisfied customer.
