G, Knowing your sylph-like frame, I hope you have some form of strengthening bars underneath the floor between the cross-rails!!!!!!!!!
Cheers! Yeh, that's where I keep the Krugerrands! Cheers Robbie G

In the end, I settled for taking out the spacing blocks under the seats. THis means that my head is now below the top screen rail G
GLLHG does this still allow the seat to move, or is it now in a fixed position?

Although I am told that n some years/ models, it might be necessary to take a corner out of the sheet metal corner of the seat. The actual frame doesn't need any work HTH G

As you are probably aware the rather nice MMC carbon fibre hardtops will not fit earlier cars, I think it was in 2003 that they changed the rake and mounting method of the windscreen.
Rutherford used to make glass fibre hardtops but has now retired, I understand that the moulds were sold to Mathias Kreyes in Germany. Whilst I believe that he now manufactures them I have see no adverts.

Bill, There are lots of Mog owners who won't take their car out in the rain but you're the first I've heard admit they won't even go out to the shed!!!! Nick

Its me that doesn't want to get wet! Im going to try and lower the seats and attempt to make a plywood "buck" as i believe the Americans call them to build my own fibreglass hard top I need it as the surgeons are about to take the top of one ear off due to skin cancer I want to keep the car Regards Bill Owens

Bill, you could try Sid Watson 01354 658260. I had a long chat with him once about hardtops and I'm pretty sure (if memory serves) that he could have helped me if my car hadn't been so young (long door, latest hood etc.) This conversation took place about 4 years ago before the factory made the latest hardtop (which I still haven't bought....) It's worth a phone call. I did remove the wooden rails and replaced the seatbase foam with memory foam. By leaving off the rearmost fixing clips the seat was lowered considerably - memory foam so much more comfortable; makes driving much more fun too. I bought a cheap mem foam pillow - more than enough foam. nick
