My 3 wheeler started having trouble restarting and now won't fire at all. Runs fine when running, idles ok. Cranks quite merrily and sounds like juuust about to go, but doesn't. New plugs and clean air filter, no change.

Mark have you washed the car & got water into the electrical connectors for the fuel injectors at the top of the engine? Have a look at the crank position sensor & wiring low down on left side of engine at front. To post in M3W forum get there from "Forums " tab at top left of page.

Have you tried priming the fuel pump two or three times before pressing the button? I have occasionally had a reluctant engine even with new plugs and a high crank battery, but now if I wait for a few seconds after priming it usually fires quickly.

To M3W55's point is the fuel pump priming can you hear it prime for 3 seconds when first turning ignition key on? If you can then the next thing to check would be the fuel pressure to make sure you have 58psi. Next would be to check for a spark at each plug, from experience the ignition leads can come loose check the connection at the coil.
