Of all you USA folks where did you source your Walbro pumps? And what "Kits" did you get with them? I know the Alternative Parts List has types of hose and fittings that must be sourced separately.

You have to be careful buying the Walbro pumps as there are so many knockoffs, Summit racing sell the GSS342 pump and all the fixings. I called them directly and asked for:

Walbro GSS342 pump
Rubber Foot 22-63
Convoluted Hose 210mm + 2 clamps
Wiring Loom 22-615

Having recently replaced my OEM pump, built the Walbro pump, installed AND un-installed the Walbro, and then installed a new OEM pump..... change your pump in your shop. It *could* be done on the side of the road.. but why? For one, the factory plastic fuel fitting are, at best, barely adequate. They may break when you remove them, they may already be broken (like mine were), or they may be fine. I doubt you will have spare fittings or the ability to mangle the vinyl fuel line to accept new fittings on the side of the road. Also the pump does not come out without some contorting - think Tetrus. Then even in the comfort of my shop I was worried about contaminants entering the tank. Cannot imagine what it would be like on the side of a windy road with a hole the size of a coffee can in your fuel tank. And I question whether the built spare pump would survive being carried as a spare. Once you see the entire contraption out of the tank you will understand what I mean.

For the Walbro retrofit - I got this kit intended for the WRX off Ebay that has the GSS342 pump and the bits you need (it was only $79 back early-pandemic!)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/163437502460

Here is the same kit on Amazon for $85

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WCY80...amp;ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it#customerReviews

And a pair of these hoses (only ended up using one of them):

You can shop those parts numbers around for the best deal. My pump was legit Walbro with metal internals - and I checked out the Ebay seller before buying the parts.

Hello guys

I hope all is doing well. I would like to order a complete new fuel pump kit and have it ready just in case i need it. I went through the alternative parts list.
But I can’t find all the parts on summit racing, ebay, amazon.

I just found:
- The walbro pump on summit racing.
- I can’t find/ figure out what else i need.

Can someone help me out with links or part numbers to complete the kit.

Many Thanks

Are these all the parts i need?

I am finding it difficult to find the rubber foot. Anyone know of a different part number for a piece that will work? Called Walbro and Summit and neither has it. Also, is new plastic hose needed, or can you retrofit the existing hose? If not, anyone know the diameter and a source? Much appreciated!

Summit has a GSS342BX. What is that BX designation all about?

I was able to trim the original rubber foot to work. I believe that info is in the fuel pump replacement directions on the MTWC website.

It means boxed, nothing else.
