I'm a squashy bag kind of bloke too, but you can get some nice custom made flight cases for under £200. Custom Flight Case

Custom Flight CaseThose flight cases are flippin' excellent for lugging stage gear around the globe, but they might be a bit overkill for carrying your spare shreddies on the back of a Morgan. Even empty they weigh a ton, the sides are around 7mm thick. I use a squashy bag behind the seats and a Peli Storm case on the rear rack if I need a bit more space.

Nice design and well made but does seem a lot of Kerfuffle to have the weight to put something else in. Last year on Morgans Over America (8000 miles in 6 weeks) for two of us we had a squashy bag each in a light weight waterproof Boot Bag ($120), kept dry in rain, hail, snow, that strapped easily to the rack. The rear Brake light could be seen and rear view mirror used with no obstruction, it also meant you just took the Boot Bag into the hotel room to unpack and pack. As to security, never had an issue with any unwanted attention to the Boot Bag, probably doesn't look worth stealing and its removed at night anyway.

I hold my boot bag on with a lockable surfboard strap that has a steel wire in it. I think they are called kangaroo straps.

Hi Looked at boot bags but using Morgan for weekly "Essential shop" and trunk is easy to load shopping bags into.....each to his own

True. I just use the rear shelf and the passenger seat. But as you say we each have our own ideas. That is why Mogs are fun.

Must admit I did like my Mogbox, I thought initially they were a bit overkill until I followed 2 cars with them fitted fir a weeks tour of Scotland. Whilst I was faffing about with jackets and stuff they were jumping out and swapping jackets and picking up cameras etc in a matter of seconds.
I managed to get an as new one for a bargain price from a TM member and it’s now on the back of a pals car after I sold the +4 as I thought that was my last Morgan. Wouldn’t work on current car as it has a spare wheel carrier with a luggage rack on top so already very high.
I miss it’s convenience.
