I am definitely not of the type who would ever wish to dictate the way others should behave, and I was not really surprised to see news reports of crowds of folk to the extent they almost seemed to be rubbing shoulders on the sea front at Portobello in Scotland where lockdown is still in force to some degree.

Apparently in China one can have points added to one`s credit score by the state, if you report on your neighbours transgressions, even pre Covid... !!! It seems that in large Chinese cities their technology for tracking folk is by a huge degree more capable than anything on trial here, and it seems everyone moving or otherwise in cities is tracked in so many ways by the state...?

Imagine if such a system (5G?) was in use here, and those who flout the govt advice were identified and recorded as such, no fines, but automatically denied any medical assistance for any unfortunate occurrence they might suffer from indulging in such pastimes....I wonder how crowded all areas might then be by those who seem to care not a jot for themselves or others in the UK..?

Sure there were ever those when full lockdown was in force UK wide, who required to make use of public transport to keep the country`s infrastructure from crashing to a halt, but amongst them there will ever be those who will by their very nature make excuses for ignoring that which does not suit their personal ideals... I guess we should expect no different from the so called great and good in society either, as has been proven on more than one occasion.Hmm...?

There will come a point when government intervention is no longer necessary to prevent the overwhelming of the Health Service. This is when one's own personal risk assessment and also, importantly, other legislation including Health and Safety legislation come into play. I have really been surprised that this has not already been referred to, in particular the requirement to ensure the health and safety of people resorting to your premises adn in particular shoppers in supermarkets which have only belatedly taken the government's advise on risk control measures seriously. These places, which we have thankfully been lucky enough to be able to have avoided, must have been responsible for a lot of unwanted contact between people.
