Great to hear of other long term Morgan ownership. What amazes me is that I have had it so long, these cars obviously get under our skin? smile

Having bought my 4/4 in my late teens, there should be a few years of me driving it to come, legislation aside, but let's not go there! smile

Ahem,....50 year ownership of my 1969, (late '68 built)1600 competition GT 4/4)
It found me on a very wet, dark and blustery late autumn Vancouver, B.C. evening.
Love at first sight..... love
B1800 had accumulated slightly over 12,000 miles and was pristine!

I traded-in my sweet little Karmann-Ghia convertible as part exchange for it.....
I considered it a bargain even then. happy3

Morgan ownership since 2012, but Tarka since November 2016.

No other car really interests me, although as has been said, the Yellow and Black PlusFour did make me look twice!

I begin to understand why so many here have what seems to be a lifetime bond with their car.

Thanks, Bert.
Sometimes I think the car is in better shape than I am these days.

I'm not sure what the attraction is for people to keep their cars for long periods. I've had probably 50 cars in my lifetime, (so far), but it's never occurred to me to sell the Moggy.

Perhaps the thought that I'll never be able to buy a new one, and the prices for a decent used one are pretty well beyond my pay grade.
One of these days circumstances will force me to part with Moggy and the Anglia, but until then I will continue to do what the cars were meant for....to drive and enjoy!!!!

Dave.

Dave,
I for one would be astounded and genuinely saddened if you ever were to consider selling your noble steed,
unless of course faced with the most dire of circumstances!......
gloomy
You surely have a unique affection for and great sentimental attachment to your racing-partner Mog.
Some folks here at TM may not be aware of your numerous, noteworthy and successful sports-car racing exploits
during the early 70's. I have taken the liberty of sharing a photo, hope you don't mind too terribly......

Thanks for sharing, Bert. That's a very impressive story, Dave. A lifelong relationship, both of you with your Mogs, Bert and Dave.
