FOR SALE
The time may have come to part with my beautiful Morgan Plus 4.
This is a stunning 1986 that has been completely reworked by the boys at Techniques Morgan.
To start with the Ash wood frame and chassis were both in amazing condition so not much work if any, was needed. The car then had a complete front to back service with all perishables changed, hoses etc. New cam belt fitted along with a light weight aluminium radiator.
The 2 Ltr Fiat engine with 5 speed box was in great condition with now 28,000 miles on the clock so not much work needed there either. This Fiat engine as some may know was only used for a short period of time in the late 80’s and produced a very strong high ‘revving’ engine with parts still readily available for the 2 ltr version.
Techniques also fitted a new Librands exhaust system which makes it sound so good as it pops and grumbles its way through the gears.
Upgraded Kone shocks on the front along with a full rear shock conversion on the rear.
Onto the body work. It underwent a complete bare metal respray in a Porsche GT silver. Again, next to no work needed on the body as it was all in great condition.
All new chrome parts fitted, mirrors, handles, catches etc.
Then it was off to have a complete re trim in Muirhead Bentley grade tan leather with new seats perfectly fitted to the cockpit.
The dash was re covered in a GT soft nap fabric and the Smith Dials refurbished.
Other bits, upgraded front lights halogen main LED dip. Mesh gravel guards on the lights.
Front race valance with mesh air intake.
Double leather bonnet strap
Leather sun visors
It really does run like a dream and has done only 1000 miles or so since it was finished earlier this year in April.
The car really is in exceptional condition and looks like new to be honest.
Any questions please ask. Viewings welcome.
I have taken advise on its value from two Morgan specialists and both came back within £500 of each other so it is for sale for £22,500

With our old 4/4 listed back at Allon White last year at £19500 and sold very quickly (1985 4/4 in good condition), £22500 sounds jolly reasonable for a car with the work that has been done to this one. Especially with that engine.

Plus a complete repaint. Just the seats and the newly made leather were expensive.
The Fiat/Lancia engine has a very good reputation. Techniques also has a very good reputation. To be honest, if it were an LHD I would be a serious prospect.
