This weeks Autocar has test of the new Plus Four, 3 1/2 stars. " Simpler, sweeter-handling & cheaper than its 6 cylinder sibling but should probably be cheaper still."

Which was much slower, naturally aspirated engine and with lesser handling qualities.
If you want to compare performance you need to put the new Plus Four alongside the Roadster.

True, but today I got to day dreaming of what else I could get for the costs of trading in my Roadster & the extra cash needed.
I can basically keep the Roadster & get a Mustang (sadly the Polo would have to go).
I can't see HO falling for that as her car would be out of the garage, but it does show the price point.

Over here….in the US of A...the word on the street is that the NEW plus 6, due to arrive in the fall of 2020, is going to carry a base price of $120,000. With that number have they eliminated some, most, all of their market? I can't speak to how the rest of the World is going to react to these numbers, but here, where you can spend $80,000 for a run of the mill, American sedan (or SUV) it seems to be in the arena of other sports cars. FYI...again according to my source....by the time you get it set up they way most of us would want....you'll be nearer $140k.

Something that Harley Davidson learned years ago....scarcity of product (limited production) increases both value of older models and demand for all models. Of course there is a tipping point, but only time will tell if MMC thought this through.

If your information is correct then I suspect the Morgan will sell as many as they need to in order to meet targets.
What other 2 seat hand build Roadster is there in the $120,000-$140,000 that will retain most of its purchase price after 10 years?
MMC understands the limited production/special editions concept well, I think. I bought my 2014 Plus 8 in late 2014 from the factory, it is worth today about what I paid for it.
I could have bought a Boxter for the same money, today it would be worth about 30% of what I paid.
And I wouldn't have met so many great people.

I am also very fond of such an idea. I once saw such a special edition. Bullitt in green. It would be a coupe, too. Very tempting.

The Bullit is more. I did Route 66 in a standard Mustang & would love the 5.7l version which is cheaper.
