1 - Cambelt failure
2 - Battery dead Obie
3 - Rectifier is dead Sporster Dap of oppo
4 - Fuel pump default Rog G
5 - Battery cables not tightened Laurens
6 - Centa rollers disintegration Richard (+8RICH) Ian (planenut) Gordon (Gordon D) Joejoe (HalfFull) Andy (Bunny)
7 - Crank position sensor
8 - Starter motor / solenoid
9 – Drive pulley shearing off the camshaft
10. Girlfriend’s drawers sucked into the carburettor (I hope the mechanics don't find anything weird in there ) SFG

I'll go for #3, the rectifier though that might mean #2 will have followed it! It's a long time since I've fixed anything at the roadside. I blame the coronavirus!

Number 6 for me too Javier.
I remember JHSII`s tales of driving across the width of the US in his vintage trike, he had his share of problems too.
I think there was mention of substituting a Harley piston for one damaged in his ancient engine, and if I remember correctly there was also a mention of gun play too..... !!!!
Travel in more modern times with mobile phones makes rescue somewhat easier, though signal dependant..

iIt sounds like Number 6 , so that option for me too please, though seems implausible for a brand new car .... unless you have been putting in a large number of drag races , doughnuts etc. Good luck for a Speedy Marmot fix.

I would go with 2b - bad earth from rectifier or battery

I'm glad to see no one chooses the cambelt failure…  And I'm concerned that most choose the Centa rollers disintegration, that is a simple break but implies the terrible mechanical procedure of removing the engine to be solved.  I really hope it's a 2, 2b, 5 or worst a 3 or 4...
