I'm having a Lightweight E-Type body shell built, what I'm looking for is help in finding an early RHD E-type series one 3.8 or 4.2 Roadster or FHC, abandoned project or a basket case, with its ID, so that it can be used as a bases for conversion into a Lightweight. Ken

Now I have to admit at being a tad jealous there Gyp. Had a 4.2 series 1 roadster with all of the upgrades normally associated with an Eagle. It was a really beautiful car but had to sell it when we moved so as not to have a massive mortgage.
I always wanted to do a 3.8 Lightweight replica, awesome car!
Good luck finding ID and with the project. Is Dunsford building the shell?
Mike

I have just left a message with a friend of mine who has had a 4.2 Series 1 (I think it's a 1 - only seen it once) FHC in his garage complete but wrecked for at least 20 years and is umming and arghing (sic!) about restoratation or whatever. It's all matching numbers, and is pretty complete. He even has a spare bonnet in good nick, but for your lightweight you're probably not interested in that. I'll forward anything interesting in his reply.
Best of luck, and if I've got the wrong end of the stick please yell.

Thanks for the replies so far,
(Culminator) Mike I did go and have a chat with Simon at Dunsford, they make a beautiful Lightweight, but I’ve gone with another company.
(Frank 4x4) Frank thanks for the info.
Wiscos, I’d be grateful for any help you can offer, hope to hear from you when you get any information from you friend.
