I lift from the frame members behind the engine near the lower A arm mount and on the frame at the rear transverse member by the bevel box.

Lifting by thin aluminum might be a no no since the only thing that is supposed to be supported by that aluminum is myself and copilot.

I’m working on the principle that the pucks are on the under skin where it’s bolted to a frame member right behind it. Also 550kg /4 = 138kg each support (in theory) that’s less than me and the co pilot. I got the Ez lift cross spacer set for 56cm - 89cm reach.
Looks very comfortable on the lift as the front pad is basically where the factory put their build trestle while the rear pads are a bit further forward than the factory rear trestle but on the skin with the side tubes behind it.

Post script- I didn’t go for the ramp extension kits which would have reached the rear cross tube.

I believe that connector is for a neutral safety circuit. The reverse light light switch is pre-wired into the harness, making it easy to replace the rear red fog light with a reverse lamp. There's a post somewhere on the forum about this.

Ah ok, thanks guys.

It’s amazing how much easier everything looks when the car is a couple of feet up in the air! I’m 6’4” so getting down to floor level was always the first hurdle to being keen.
Thanks for the advice LightSpeed when I was undecided about getting this Ez lift, wish I’d bought one years ago.

Do you just leave it on the floor and drive over it to park so it is not in the way in the garage? That’s what I do.

Once a year I swap the cross member parts for wider ones to lift my MINI Coopers to change their tires/wheels from winter to summer. When in that configuration I cannot drive over it with the M3W.

I haven’t tried yet, do you reverse in over the cross members or go in forward and stop the rear wheel just short of the first cross member?

No, lengthwise I can drive over it without hitting anything so I can park wherever I wish. It has the 32”(or maybe they are 34 but they for sure are the shortest) cross members.

As long as you lift the M3W using any of the aluminium tubes then you will be safe, I have a slightly wider cross member so I can lift all my Morgans, this actually give greater access to underside of the M3W. The power of your drill will also effect the speed of raising the lift.
