Great idea, labelling them. Incidentally, Are your fuse boxes A & B labelled the wrong way round by the factory, as I have seen on a couple of other GDIs.? Fortunately the fuse boxes A & B are the same way around on the diagram

Also be aware at least on a 2006 Roadster the relays also supply power to the ECU. Mine failed but lights etc worked , only the ECU wasn't working & the starter wouldn't turn over. . Despite having spares in the car neither I or the two mechanics who looked at it dreamt that it was the relay. we though it was the ECU or the immobiliser. Now that's a good point, looking at the diagram on the cover it actually says ' ENGINE / IMMOBILISER RELAY ' so you may be right and I should change the label.

I would guess a Ford dealer or motor factors. Surely they have part numbers on them?

For the fuel pump relay it is worth going for a higher current rating. The uprated relay is physically the same size and pinout.
Somewhere here there is info on the part number for that.

I think MMC fit 30 amp diode relays. No harm in fitting uprated ones though such as here. FWIW the fuel pump system is fused at 20 amps.

If you want to fit decent quality relays I would advise Tyco and the ones fitted on the 2012 4/4 asked about are 0-1432793-1 (That’s a Tyco number, just checked my 2012 4/4 Sport and my spare relay from a previous 2008 +8)

And if you enter Tyco Relay 0-1432793-1 on eBay and scroll down someone is selling genuine Tyco relays, box of 20 for £40. And that’s posted to you in U.K., if some pals want some spares I doubt you would beat that price for quality diode Tyco’s, I bought a bag a few years ago for nearly £6 each and split between friends.

Never realised how important a working relay is until reading the recent Miscellany article..
Carrying on-board labelled spares is a really great insurance against failure at small cost.
MMC provide spare fuses in the fuse box but not spare relays. Must be a reason?
