Thanks for noticing. I was definitely going for a more '30's period look. My heart really wants a vintage Morgan 3 wheeler, but my head says if you want to drive one with regularity in modern traffic then the 5 speeder is the way to go.

BTW-the shifter boot is the stock Mazda part that comes on the M3W. There is a large rubber grommet at the base of the boot that is a tight fit to the alloy shifter housing, but the hole in the fiberglass is 1/4" oversize to allow for the shifter housing to move with engine vibration so no undue stress to the cover. The gearbox cover height was chosen to allow for the 'flush' installation.

I'm guessing the insert broke on the left side, as installed?

I don't remember the broken side anymore, the wavy upper spring also breaks, I think the engine vibrations are the cause with + 100000km.

Really awesome job quality you’ve realised with this tunnel. Impressive and very much vintage looking. I loved it
