If it is the pulley I am thinking that slips on a stud. Mine was dented as well. I believe S&S replaced it under warranty. I might be wrong but give them a call. If you have a pic I can confirm.

When I spoke with S&S and told them it was never dismantled and appeared to have a dent on the back side of the pulley all they said was, “I see” and no offer of warranty. I am so done with the Morgan warranty that is worthless in my situation since I Live to far from a dealer. Cheaper to fix things myself than to rely on a company that really doesn’t care anyway.
The cost of that tensioner is peanuts compared to vehicle transport to Southern California and hassle with them about a piece of paper they did not issue (sales and subsequent warranty). They even told me that whatever they charge for warranty work that was not paid by Morgan I would have to make up the difference. In other words they won’t work for Morgan wages and the customer is expected to pick up the difference and pay to transport the vehicle them. I think not. I can see why the dealer I used to purchase the vehicle quit Morgan as he felt they were unreasonable. I would concur.

My Dealer in Scotland had similar experience with Norton who they also used to sell. Norton expected them to take & pay for three bikes,they declined. Fortunately they are still a Morgan dealer.

Sounds like the same piece. I suspect it all depends who you talk to at s&s and the mood they are in. I don’t think the part is that expensive so just easier to get it fixed. I am surprised so many of us has the same issue.

Sounds like the same piece. I suspect it all depends who you talk to at s&s and the mood they are in. I don’t think the part is that expensive so just easier to get it fixed. I am surprised so many of us has the same issue. Maybe the same assembler did the work. Did it look like a 3/16" wide screwdriver was put on the back lip of the tensioner sprocket and used it for a lever to install the belt? At $210+tax and shipping it is not inexpensive part, but cheaper than taking it to a dealer and the hassle.

Spendy for sure. Mine was the exactly the same way. Very thick metal so hard to image it was easy to bend.

Well, tomorrow I should be able to test drive this. I was amazed at how easily it started with Stage 2 S&S cams and S&S Roller Rocker Kit. Stage 2 testRoad test tomorrow.

Sounding good!
The stage 2 cams have more duration and overlap than the stock ones, which should reduce restive cranking pressure even more over the easy-start feature and make starting a bit easier. The roller rockers would have no practical impact on starting, though they are a nice addition to reduce friction and noise.

Thanks. To have roller lifters and not roller rockers made no sense to me so the rockers were a must since I was trying to change a weeping seal anyway.

So for those of you who have installed the roller rockers does the engine seem quieter? For what potential benefits have you installed this kit? Intrigued.
2015 M3W, Morgan Aero Racing Stage 1, Garage 56 Stage 2, sport black, saddle tan, jeweled SS dash.
