My king pins are starting to have a little play so are coming up to the time for replacement. Could anyone recommend a garage not too far from Ipswich that would do the job and an indication of how much it costs? Are there any other changes I should do at the same time?

A bit of a no-brainer , Cain at Wolf Performance is your man for that job.

He will also talk you through the other jobs that may , or may not, need doing at the same time. His upgrades are highly recommended.

Sorry no idea on cost as it is a long time since I did this job with Colin (Spanner Juggler) , it can be dependent upon the parts cost , but it is mostly labour.

+1 for Cain (Wolf Performance off M11 just south of Cambridge). Forgotten what car you have Gary and what mods on front already, but suggest upper steering bearings if not already fitted and Cain's lower steering bearing kit unless you have SSL RS fitted. Its a no brainer to have him add his rebound spring gaiters at the same time.

Another vote for Cain, let him advise you, he is a super chap and will not lead you astray or try and up-sell you.

For me it’s Hardchrome Kingpins, Spiral Grooved PB bushes, a steering bearing kit as a minimum. Talk through what you use your car for and what you want ‘feel and comfort’ wise and Cain will advise on SSL front kit, Camber plates, main spring rates, gaiters and then you can menu pick what you want and consider your budget.

Hope that helps.

I think Cain will be your man - sound, honest advice and a top-notch engineer too who will take his time and get the job spot on. Sorry no idea of cost of that job but I have had lots done on my car with Cain and the bills have always been very reasonable.
