HI Guys,
Only had my 2015 Plus 4 for a few months and never heard of this "Inertia Switch". My handbook says it's a Red Exclamation Mark and is only fitted to a Plus 8, so no help there.
Is it something fitted to older models of the Plus 4?
Regards Mark I understand it to have been a legal requirement for a great number of years it's to cut the fuel supply in the event of an impact to cease fuelling a possible fire situation. They are sited in my experience under the bonnet on the passenger side near the firewall and are around 2" square with two electrical connections and the front of the switch has a rubber covered reset button.

Yes it should be on the bulk head by passenger side above the wiper motor. In this photo where I am siphoning the header tank to change out the plastic t piece for a SiFab metal one it is the black square behind the hose as it enters the tank ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2017/12/04/20171204_092901.jpg)

Well mine had no air filter from new. Obviously MMC rationing parts It is not much of a guard. In a factory it wouldn't pass the regs but it is better than nothing.

Its very useful if you need to prime your oil pump in the event of sudden oil loss. The AA man tapped it with a spanner to activate so the engine turns over without firing; useful tip maybe🤔 Thanks for that Treesurveyor I'll use that at next Lub oil change A lot easier than removing the rotor arm. I'm glad you had your leakage now I'm not paranoid about it, but have discovered that trying to chalkpaint the sump plug results in the mark slipping (Not sticking on the sump body) , so find myself constantly on my knees checking for weepage

Gearbox and diff as well.
