I posted this question regarding the Tizi N Test pass on a Marrakesh forum and got this response from a local:

"Not true, and in addition it was upgraded in importance a couple of years ago from a regional road (R203) to a national road (N7). It’s used regularly by motorhomes. The last time I needed a 4x4 on this route was 1972."

So can you double check you contact is talking about the same road.

He told us he made this road months ago just before the lockdown due to the Covid19. The R203 from Taroudant uphill to the mountain pass is still very narrow and not in the best conditions but it's feasible with the 3-Wheeler. The problem is when you want to go down to Marrakech (or up from Marrakech if you come from there): he clearly told us that we will destroy the 3-Wheeler there. He had some trouble even with the Land Cruiser because of the huge potholes and tarmac gone with the snow and water.

We will double check again. In fact we may go Marrakech soon when they'll open the borders. And I may ask him to go together with the Land Cruiser so I can see myself the real conditions.

The rest of the mountain passes and routes are in very good conditions, so 95% of the route we're planning is OK but this Tizzi N Test (5%) to be checked.

Ladies and gentlemen!

The official offer is in the oven! If we gather enough vehicles, to make it happen, this is going to be epic! happy3

First dates selected are: November 9th to 23rd. Wouldn't it be nice to end your season with a trip to Africa?
- arrival of attendants to Malaga (Spain) on Saturday November 9th.
- Debriefing and checks on Sunday 10th
- Monday 11th cross to Morocco and 12 days in the country
- Back to Málaga Saturday the 23rd of November.

Attendants can come to Malaga driving the 3-Wheeler, or with a car and trailer with the Morgan on it or ship the 3-Wheeler on a specialized truck (we will coordinate this with whoever is interested) and fly comfortably to Malaga where your vehicle will await you.
Still minor details to be defined and added to the offer, but the program is already fixed at 90%.

Whoever wants to receive the PDF with the preliminary information, please send me a personal message indicating name and surname, mobile phone number (for WhatsApp communications) and email. And I’ll send you the last draft.

Best regards for everyone! cheers

What are your options? coffee

And enjoy with us a stunning trip to Morocco: Luxury hotels, mechanical assistance, support vehicles, and the best possible company. woohoo cheers

We do trust our 3 wheelers having driven from the UK to Turkey and back this year.

The reason for transporting the cars to Malaga is that a 3000 mile round trip from the UK to Malaga starting late January is not very appealing with the potential for bad weather in Northern France and the extra time it would take to add to the 2 week tour to Morroco which starts in Malaga.
