When Kevin rebuilt what is now my +8, it was with touring in mind, and as such he created an arm-rest with storage, which has been found handy for all sorts, as can be seen in the pic..!

Interesting...the radio blanking plate is painted mild steel I think, how about making one side of your storage box magnetic ?

Also on the left on my car. Perfect for LHD

I have a similar storage tray and used double sided adhesive tape to fix it. Worked well for more than 5 years
