The tire structure is more rigid, but the rubber is softer.
So the tire is more efficient but its lifespan is shorter ...

What inner tubes are you using with these tires? Most of the tubes I find have tr-4 stems vs tr-11 the blockley tubes have.

Since the alternative tires are motorcycle tires you can find inner tubes sized for them but I can only find tubes with tr-4 stems which are 3mm smaller in diameter than the tr11 stems that come froM the factory. Is it okay to use the motorcycle inner tubes with the smaller stems?

How do people go about getting these tyres fitted? My "local" dealer is still about 1.5hrs away and they still recommend the Avons. I'm keen to try something else and don't mind ordering online but would then need to find someone to fit them. Or do you do it yourself!?

I have always changed my own motorcycle tires. The toughest part is breaking the bead.... the other toughest part is not buggering up the rims... oh, and the other toughest part is that you will always pinch a tube if you do not have a spare... did I mention having three hands is a plus

Great, I did think it looks relatively straightforward based looking at a few YouTube videos. If I get stuck I presume a local motorcycle shop is the place to go.

any motorcycle shop should be able to do it. they will have the equipment to do it quickly. You will, however, miss the excitement of scrapping up your knuckles and using a lot of choice words

I had the front tires changed by a local motorcycle shop, but they were unable to balance them as their balancer couldn't accommodate the large opening in the center of the wheel. So it was off to my local auto tire shop for the balance. I have since purchased a set of balancing cones which should allow both functions to be done by the moto shop.

Our local motorcycle shop did mine and since they do the Polaris Slingshot as a dealer and all sorts of off road ATV’s they had no problem switching tires on my front wheels. They used stick on wheel weights which I think the cones on the spokes would have been better.

I mount my tires and I do the static balancing on the TW by pushing back the brake pads, the wheel turns by itself the unbalance is at 6 o'clock, it is enough to put adhesive mass at 12 o'clock with precision 10 grams, 0 vibrations while driving. drive
