i have a 2018 Roadster from new. After about a month the drivers side door mirror glass fell out. After a year the passenger side door mirror also fell out. Is this a common issue? Who makes the door mirrors

Which ones do you have Ed, the stock rectangular ones or the preferable optional or retro fitted round sports ones with slightly convex glass?

If you have the oval-ish, flat mirrors, consider yourself lucky to have a possibility to get rid of them, as they are crap. The vision is bad, so is the chrome. Heart of England, Morganhoods and others make them in stainless steel, convex. It is a huge improvement, both in rear vision and design. You can get the whole thing (mirror/stem + base) in stainless, but they are also sold separately. I have got HoE (large version), very happy. I also changed the OEM centre screen mirror for a HoE, small size (that's sufficient) and convex. Believe it or not, changing that mirror is the best mod I done on my car, considering functionality, aestethics and cost/benefit. All three mirrors highly reecommended. The large version HoE door mirror is a bit fiddly to get the right angle, but the design is very nice.

Ed if it’s the rectangular stock ones you have, and you want a free replacement then send me a PM. (You’d have to pay postage though!)
I took them off my 2019 Plus 4 and replaced them with after market round ones, so they are in my garage collecting dust...

I changed mine for John Taylor`s stainless ones - much better - I can actually see where I have been instead of the sky or the tarmac as on the OEDs.

Lost mine too on the highway and now got the Librands. Much better! Shame on the MCC. My dealer just said that this is just normal with the round factory mirrors. 🤣
