OK.
Yesterday the car got its new gasket.
I also used a bit of Loctite quick gasket on both sides of the new cork gasket.

There was no cork gasket previously. If I was a religious man, I would pray for this to work. smile
So far, all is good

You should always pray when you work on a morgan ,just choose your god carefully
