+1 to those comments. I drove a manual and an automatic Plus Four on Saturday. The brakes gave good decelleration but both had a very soft pedal, no initial bite and long travel. Both had extreme brake squeal hot and cold as well.

I know KH took the pads to a local motor factor to see if there was an alternative pad. They couldn’t find any.

The decision must be made by everyone. For me, a car that looks like a vintage sports car, must have a manual transmission and not an automatic. And for example I would never buy a New Cobra or a Super Seven with automatic....

I thought that until I drove the Plus Four auto. Hi John! So you also preferred the auto? Due to some missing papers I will not get my car until new week. Ah, the wait is killing me. :-)

Yes I loved it. The manual keeps you changing gear to be in the power band, the auto is always there & the power delivery is seamless.

A lot of motorcycle riders have had success in eliminating disk brake squeal using commercially available adhesive cushions (very thin) that are placed on the back of of the pads.

A lot of motorcycle riders have had success in eliminating disk brake squeal using commercially available adhesive cushions (very thin) that are placed on the back of of the pads. Thats a good point. You used to be able to buy some blue paint that you put behind motorcycle pads to stop squeezing.

If Dacia can make a 10k car with non squeal brakes surely MMC can do that on a 75k car.

Maybe crossed wires? I can see why you were enticed
