Hello M3W Forum,

First, let me say thank you to all who contribute to this forum. The wealth of information found here has been invaluable along my journey. I’ve been lurking here since I started to think about the MW3 about 3 years ago. I got the chance to drive the copper one below about 2 years ago and I was hooked.

After a couple near misses, a few moons finally lined up and I was able to make it happen. My (awesome) wife knew I’ve been wanting one, and talked me into actually doing it for my 50th. It’s a 2017 model that the dealer has had in stock for 2+ years, so it was still sold as a new vehicle. You can see it in the background behind the copper one I drove a couple years ago. It was delivered a few days ago with 186 miles on the clock.

My boys (6 and 8 years old) love to go for rides, and my youngest has already burned his knee on the exhaust. He won’t make that mistake again…

It took a few days to get insured through Grundy, but now I’m legal and enjoying drives further than around the block. I’ve got the parts on order to move the headlights out where they belong and some Cocomats coming. I’ve also got a Kuryakyn air filter waiting on the workbench for an X-Wedge adapter to arrive, and a suction cup Ram mount for my phone, all of which this forum was very helpful with identifying the specific parts needed.

By most accounts, it going to require its fair share of tinkering (which I enjoy) and will probably leave me stranded at some point (not so much), but I don’t care. You can’t get behind the wheel and not have a smile on your face. My kids fight over who gets to ride with Daddy.

Thanks for reading,

Scott

Congratulations, and welcome! That is a good looking machine, and will look even better with the headlights back where they should of course be. I had my dealer do the same.

Welcome! A great choice and you clearly have a family who will love the car as much as you.
I can’t wait to get out again in mine - currently locked away at a friend’s while I convert the garage into a house. It’s keeping me busy during these crazy coved times, but I need to get out on the road again.
Enjoy! wine

Congratulations and welcome!

Make sure to purchase Kuryakyn filter support brackets from Emil at MorganCustom.net, otherwise your intake might develop a leak ;-)

Congratulations on being willing to dive into the madness that is the Morgan Three Wheeler. The most fun for you and everyone that sees it. I was amazed at the positive reaction from total strangers.

BTW, excellent first Post👍 You managed the photo recipe which is no mean feat!

Congrats. I bought mine just shy of 50 years old; I had thought I may buy one when I retire, but my wife suggested that entry/exit may be significantly more difficult for me by then. Man, did I pick a gal with the right attitude. Sounds like you did as well. Enjoy.

Thanks - I found the instructions page. Took a little time but figured it out.

Congrats and welcome! Saw your MOG for sale recently and thought it was a great color and a great price. I too am a new owner (10 months now) of a used 2014. Been stranded once, pulled my hair out a few times on issues, and still want to drive it every day I can. Welcome to the insanity. And I must say that is a nice looking 993 stablemate you have there as well.
