Dave .... yep, many won't return to the casual interaction we've been used to ..... Mrs image had a flu jab that left her with pain in her arm that was quite marked and lasted months .... surgeon friend of ours advised if you ever get a jab from your GP to stand up and not let them inject you while you're still sat from when you were talking across their desk .... stops the tendency to inject too high and near the joint which causes the problem.

The media have been absolutely ridiculous. Mind you it has been degenerating for years with blatant sensationalism, poorly researched articles, clear agenda based reporting. The 330% statistic mentioned above is an example.
Where are the ethical values for accuracy? Where is the intelligence to present facts?
There is great hue and cry about freedom of the press but that seems to be a case of publishing anything they like with no comebacks from the Press Standards Agency ( or whatever the quango is called).
No wonder Trump can use his “fake news” cop out so much when it suits him but feed out rubbish to aid his persona.

I don't understand anyone thinking it is smart to travel for holiday outside the UK just yet. This thing is barely coming under control and people are rushing to open for tourism IMHO before proper levels of testing and process are in place. I get the boredom of having to pen the family up for a period but better that than spreading the virus more. I never considered myself conservative by nature but this is becoming silly.

I am open to criticising the government for things that do seem clear but to say they are stupid for stiffening the Spanish border at this time is just dumb from my perspective. It does not matter if they do it on sunday monday or friday they would just b given stick by the press. Better earlier than later.

I don't understand these people either rushing to go on trips abroad when the pandemic is very much in a state of flux. It's the old instant gratification thing I guess, they think they have done so well staying at home being paid to do nothing but save the nation..

I hate to say it but the Government took responsible instant action for once but they can never be right for everyone.

Went to two super markets since 24/07/20. Both occasions at the check outs. No social distancing, in fact even got slightly touched by one, who when I commented about the social distance said "I am wearing a mask" . I wonder what news channel they watch? There are a lot of stupid people out there which does not bode well for getting on top of covid.

The unrepentant are everywhere. Despite a travel warning from the Foreign Office, German holidaymakers go to Turkey "because it's always so nice in the hotel". They go there because it is cheaper. They support the Erdogan regime in their boundless stupidity. And then they all come back home and they bring the Covid souvenir. There is now a Corona Test Station at Cologne-Bonn Airport, but it is only voluntary.
The so-called second wave is not a new wave coming in. It's the handling of the virus that's been around since January.
