So, some long term Morgan owners must have been youngish men when they bought them which I struggle with. I coveted XR3Is and Peugeot GTis and the like in my 20's until you mature and then when you have some daft dosh to splash as you grow older and you start to appreciate the finer things in life including MMC's product.

I thought Morgans were a bit like BBC radio Radio 1 (20's) then Radio 2 (30+)then Radio 4 (40+) and then you bought a Morgan.

I bought 4/4 at the ripe old age of 27. Cost me £2400

I wasn't interested in cars at all until I was 30, bikes were where it was at as far I was concerned. At 30 I started to fancy the idea of a Morgan but there was no way I could afford one so an MGB GT had to do (not that it was a bad car, I really liked it) until I could afford a knackered second-hand 4/4 at the age of 40. 20 years later I've still got it. It's in pretty good nick now though after years of working on it.

With only a short gap I am driving Morgans for 34 Years now. But I had 4 cars in this time. AND today I now, that I should have kept my first one, a 85 +8. They did not really get that better after the last carb +8 imho. Even my 4.6 brought not the fun my 85 car offered. The carb 3.5 was revving free and was the most fun of them all.

I was 23 when I bought my Mog.
It cost me Cdn $1200.00(1968) dollars. At the time I was earning $1.25/hr and the labour rate in the shop (Morgan dealer) was $8.00/hr.

I was a fairly mature 50 by the time I had the resources to buy a Morgan but it was to satisfy a desire that I'd had since about the age of 11. That's before Radio1, I was listening to the pirates.

I was 60... and had just given up bikes because of age related damage to my neck vertebrae made riding a bike painful, or without a helmet, illegal.
My wonderful wife said "you need a Morgan"... we can afford one.....
After 8 years I'm addicted...

I bought my first Morgan in the early 1970s, over 45 years ago. It is still in my possession, but is rarely used now. Mainly because I grew up. I can no longer fit into it. In fact, I didn't fit in then either... But the car fit the H0 scale model train, Fleischmann brand (no longer exists). Somewhat larger Morgans came later. They survived the Fleischmann model railroad layout, a Carrera slotcar track, school days, studies, my son's studies, several moves, and a wife (the second one occasionally wipes the dust aside).










But the really big one, the 1:1 scale, only came to us one year ago, after decades of dreaming and longing. Did I say that my father already dreamed of a Morgan? Unfortunately, he died too soon. He couldn't make his dream come true.

Now not only I fit in, no, even the whole family! It is a four-seater. And my dad joins every Morgan ride, with a big smile that only I can see. I'm sure the big Morgan will never leave me, just like the little ones didn't.

Did I mention I love Morgan tours with my wife? My wife loves it too! We also like tours that are a little bit longer...
