On my 2006 Plus 4 I do 80% of my driving with Tonneau cover on. It fits neatly over folder easy up roof. I did a mod (thread on TM) where to cut down Tonneau cover inflation/flap I fitted a short strap from cover edge to passenger seat belt fastening using Tennex fasteners and an ebay male belt buckle. . It transformed the Tonneau cover driving experience - for the better.

It seems crazy to me that on the new CX models a Tonneau cover is not an option and threatens warranty. Thats NOT "progress".

Have to say I agree.

One of the better experiences is with a cover over the cockpit in less than perfect weather, with just a few poppers and zip for when you alight to find a coffee or the loo, whichever comes first..

I'd like to think that's an Allon White comment and not a factory mantra, as they would be nailing the factory for any repair costs if water hit those electronics.

But who knows..?

Not progress at all, there.

Things such as this should be sorted in the design stages, surely..? They must realise how many people drive with a covered cockpit..??

Me too. The only time I don't is when I am certain it's going to be raining hard enough to have to put the roof up at some point, it's not much fun sharing the inside of the car with a soaking wet tonneau cover.

If water gets into the electrics then......

When we all know soft tops leak.

Will there be a debate as to why you let this happen?

Dan at KH told me they are not allowed to build any special parts for the CX cars. So no go faster exhausts etc.I think one dealer is supplying things like map pockets but under the counter.

That’s a real shame John. I guess this is a sign on the new Morgan owners, maybe also the dedicated brake pads for the CX models. Sell the cars and then ensure a good revenue on spares to follow.

Dealers cannot play with the CX cars.
But there are "Aftermarket" specialists who can...and will....
Morgan is turning into a normal car manufacturer.
We had the best times.

There is a sports exhaust option listed for £1914 + vat John. Ditto for plus Six although cheaper.
