The car was just one week old and had covered a total of 170 miles. Currently the car resides at the supplying dealer awaiting fitment of a new factory BB which is a bit excessive as it probably just needs a seal.

Sound like the oem vent plug was defective and not venting, or it got plugged with manufacturing debris from the bb causing it to plug. Pity.

It seems excessive to change the entire bb just for the front seal unless MMC knows something about a batch of bb that were made wrong.

My plugged vent cap was a manufacturing defect. There is a tube (aluminum or steel, I have both) that is glued into the orange cap. Mine was totally plugged with glue, could not get the glue out.

I received an email from the dealer yesterday, the plan has changed to just replacing the seal and not the entire bevel box.
I requested they fit a new breather plug which was denied by the factory apparently and is a decision I find hard to believe.
I have told the dealer to purchase one from the factory and i will pay in that case, however he said the breather is not listed as an available part. Anybody know if that's a correct statement ?.

Tell the dealer to go to his local pneumatics supply place, the breather caps are an off the shelf part....

Contact Emil from MorganCustom.net and get his remote fill/vent kit and forget about that nonsense ;-)

I tried to find a replacement. The company that makes them is Elesa . https://www.elesa.com I looked at their offerings, but from what I can see I think one of their caps is used, but the steel or aluminum tube is glued in by someone else, probably Quaif.

Check your vent and try to source a Viton seal.

I hope it's the vent Stephen. It's so hot these days in Madrid that the oil is really liquid... This doesn't help.

This is what I have under the car, on the trailer floor.

I'll have to dismount the back tray above the rear wheel and probably the back of the seats to have a clearer view. But not these days! It's too hot! exting
