Hi all,
I do have a text guide on this that was kindly sent to me a few years ago - but does anyone have any pictures of removing the wings/cowl/bonnet and so on? As in step by step or showing some of the fasteners?
Thanks!

Thanks Ale, I do have a copy of the parts books I found online but doesn't show what I am looking for unfortunately.

I don't have any photos but I have done it many times. What part are you looking for?

It was more around fixings, I would hate to snag something or break a fixing through unfamiliarity. I always like to see pictures so I don't misinterpret the text! I may need to take the rear wings off as well - have you removed those by any chance?

On my S4 it is all nuts and bolts... And if it doesn't move it means you missed 1... If I get chance I will try and take some photos but since lock down has been lifted we have become really busy. I have never taken the rear wings off, I have side pipes and a rear Diffuser that has come off to give me access to inside the rear wings but that's the closest I have come to it.

Thanks Merl - reassuring that is it just nuts and bolts. I suppose it should be a lot more simple to work on than most mass production cars that are put together by robots, and thus have fixings that require a hand with 9 fingers and 360 degree rotation to undo!

Sorry Nick the day got away from me today. There are a few fiddly bolts but I have limited mobility with arthritis but if I can do it... The fiddly ones are the bonnet and the ones holding the rear of the wings to the rear wheel arch... Thinking about it those last ones are probably made wise because I have side pipes...

Hi Nick, I have done this several times and it is quite straightforward, you need the front wheels off to get to the headlights if they haven't been removed before they can be fiddly but straightforward. There is usually a cable tie to cut as well. With the bonnet the rear fastenings are woodscrews and you need two people to lift clear. The radiator cowel is next is again fiddly but not a problem. The wings have the turn button on the rear bottom then more bolts on the topside, then under the headlights on the inside there is a plate connecting the wing to the lower splitter. I have done this a few times and you can do it in around an hour. I have actually done this twice and driven it 12 miles to my local electrical repair garage as I didn't want the panels lying round their garage
