Thankfully, the electronic set only required 2 screws, rather than 3, but I'd like to get a replacement to keep in the car if I ever need to revert back to points in an emergency. Why not carry a spare electronic unit for an emergency? It would be a lot easier to swap than putting the points back in.

TBM glad you found the missing screw, I have an small alternator nut that escaped some years back, never ever came across it and it still bugs me K... (-:
Discussion on swapping out points for electronic ignition caused me to remember being well impressed back in the 70`s with a Luminition system fitted to a Hillman Avenger I had at the time. If I remember correctly the electronics consisted of an optical device in place of points, and a chopper wheel fitted under the rotor arm in the dizzy to time the sparks, which made for more reliable early morning cold starts, perhaps more so when the battery was less than 100% efficient..It proved it`s self to be a very reliable system.

I've used the Accuspark 23d unit on a couple of Kent engines. Having the vernier adjustment on the vacuum is convenient.
