Yup

Nice run down to Allon Whites today to get a new windscreen fitted by Shaun. Lovely weather both ways, good chat with Phil and Shaun and plenty of time to drool over the gorgeous Plus Four and Six they have in the showroom. I was mighty impressed. Very attractive vehicles. Saw a lovely 4/4 Lowline that would solve all my hood issues (lack of grip in my hands these days), beautiful car where the online photos don’t do the cars colour enough credit. It really pops, fabulous car! Just outside of my budget or I would have been making an offer.

Had a great ride out to Pyrford Marina and strolled around. Met a guy who is selling his narrow boat to fund a move to Denmark where his hope is to buy land on a small island. He said “tax is higher but things work there”. £35k buys you a narrow boat going concern and a project. He has already bought a Volvo 145 In Denmark as a new project and plans to create a low carbon lifestyle, nice bloke who has a vision for his life.

Took Hawki to Wolf Performance to collect his car. A nice chat with Cain & Michelle about the work they do and some interesting projects.
I bought a rub plate for the Roadster.

Hawki had worked out a lovely route back via Haverhill, Sudbury etc (up was via the usual A14 & M11) .
We saw a red Mog outside Haverhill at about 11:30 plus a few old MGs obviously on a day out.

We drove through some lovely places like Clare & Cavendish. The photo is of us in Clare.

Kevin, please don't post waterside shots & especially narrowboats, we still regret selling ours (when it's sunny) several years ago, watched the shell being fabricated to my design & then over 3 years of graft fitting out, bit like a Mog I suppose

That's a nice looking village John, a good run out too.

As a newcomer to Essex & Suffolk I keep seeing these incredible places. Don't tell anyone please.

Many thanks for the lift John. I had never been to Clare or Cavendish before but both were very nice and an ideal great escape location. Fortunately Suffolk is still largely undiscovered and long may it remain so.

The brake reaction bar work well. Makes the steering feel more direct particularly when going over some bumps

A pal of mine was just chatting to M. Bertrand, proprietor of the Ferme du Verte, the hotel we use pretty often, and he was saying he'd survived lockdown but was looking forward to the arrival of the Brits to get the business back on track.

So I'd think that many businesses would be looking forward to having some more customers.
