Chaps, Having run my S2 with side pipes for a few months, I have realised that I prefer the sound of the rear exit sports system (I had the Librands on my S1). very different sounds - while the side pipes sound pretty unique, I prefer a more standard V8 rumble.
Are there any S2 owners whoever feel the opposite, and would like to swap my exhaust for their rear exit sport system? If so, please send me a PM. I'm based in the South.
If not, shall be looking to simply buy another Librands!
Regards,
Harry.

Noooooooo ....... Heathen! Each to his own I guess What are you going to do with the sills? You could leave the sides AND put a rear exhaust I suppose, that'll be the first 8 exit exhaust system
Cheers

Regards,
Harry. Maybe you should sell the Bosh-mobile and take your Series I off the market Harry!

Crikey!
I think the key issue is the cosmetics - swapping the sidepipe exhaust off and replacing the wings is going to be expensive.
You could leave the tips - but having dummy sidepipes would be a bit weird...
If it's just the noise - look at getting different cats fitted or tweaking the sidepipes (others here have had custom exhaust work done) which could change the sound ot your liking, but not mess with the looks...

^ This, its been done before with good results, maybe your best option, visual & cost wise!

S1 has sold!! A little saddened, to be honest Brian... I've just looked at the ad on Pistonheads Harry and it does look like a very nice car. I'm sure the new owners will enjoy it and hopefully we'll see them on here.
