Folks, I'm finally biting the bullet to buy a trailer for the M3W (justified by everything else, of course).
My first choice is to retrofit a used aluminum horse trailer as a toy hauler/lounge/camper. But finding a 'bumper pull' with a rear entrance wide enough is a challenge. It comes freighteningly close.
So it looks like I'll go with a 7x14 enclosed cargo trailer. It's time to select the best wheel chock and or 'e track' system solution to secure the M3W
Anyone have any recommendations for/against a specific chock? Maxhaul 70075? Recessed, etc.
Any creative uses of the e track and straps with/without a chock?
I'm trying to keep it simple but secure.

Hello 06032! Little advise. Take it or not, it's your call... The trailer + the 3-Wheeler will be over a ton weight. One axle? I wouldn't... try to find a 2 axles trailer if possible. Comments about the trailer we can see following the link: 1 - the big matter: the balance point. If you buy a trailer such as the one in the picture, with the single axle quite far at the back. and load your 3-Wheeler looking forward, you'll have a huge tongue weight on your tow ball. Unless you have a massive RAM or F150 pick-up or any other towing beast, this is no good at all. You'll overload the rear axle of your towing vehicle which implies making the rear suspension and brakes suffer too much. And the steering will be also affected. I insist this if you have a regular SUV or medium size truck. If you have a monster, this may not be the best trailer, but your beast may not suffer that much. 2 - The one shown in the picture has not overrun brake, I would say it's mandatory! The trailer + the 3-Wheeler will weigh more than a ton. And that's a huge weight to tow without an overrun brake. Here in Europe this is forbidden. 3 - Highly recommended: anti-sway damping device. I don't mean to disappoint you with the trailer you're looking at (I mean the one we can see following your link), but I’ll try to have at least the characteristics I’m telling you. If you’re curious, have a look at my blog, where I just explained about my tailor-made trailer. It might help you to choose wisely. I have a 7x12 open trailer, so one axle works, but I do not have the extra weight of enclosures. In securing the load. On the front I always tie of the front wheel frame, not the body frame. This allows the body to go up and down and not effect the straps. I come from the front out side to the frame and then the back outside, forming a bit of half X.... the other half X is on the other side. This stops front and back movement. On the back, I take a slightly back strap with one wrap around the rear wheel and to the other side. This really is to prevent the rear end from drifting and using the wheel allows the body to go up and down independent of the straps.
Agree about balance, fortunately the weight is toward the front on the M3W, but, obviously you do not want too much weight

I put specific straps on the front wheels, so the body can also move up and down freely. Your comment about wrapping around the rear wheel to prevent the rear from drifting is fantastic. I just put two straps like in a > < but I haven't tought about wrapping around it! I'll do it too! Great advice!

The setup I use is one in front around the suspension and one in the rear to keep the wheel vaguely centered. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/4ClZULT.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/9DppA2g.jpg) I have a toy hauler with a LOT of weight in the front due to tanks, generator, propane, etc. I probably wouldn't advise the M3W being backwards in a trailer under normal circumstances.

AlexKnoll - you 'da man. Love your setup and I'm sure we'd all drool to see the entire rig...more photos please! I've been on the fence about trailer length and how to partion it. For now, limiting size to either, a/ a 7x14+ 2' V to stealthily customize or, b/ a gooseneck 2-horse trailer with DR to retrofit is the proportionate-sized ticket. Either way, its to satisfy an immediate need, a 'round 1' proof of concept, if you will, not likely the end game. I take it your M3W doesn't move side-side much in there.
Marmota - the trailer in the link I sent isn't mine. It's an old post. I included it purely for illustrative purposes to show the e-tracks. Personally, I'd never chose a single axle.

I know. I saw the post was from someone else and old. It says it has electric brakes so it's better than it looks. And they mention at the bottom about the tongue weight matter. I was just trying to give useful advices. My main problem was the size. Impossible to even think about a huge spaceship as AlexKnoll's! Holly cow what a yacht! Remember that in Europe our cars are so much smaller.... and consequently, our parking places, the width of the lanes in the motorways, etc. I can't imagine arriving to a toll’s paying barrier and try to fit in the lane such large monster without scratching both sides!

AlexKnoll - that is a nice setup. I had no idea that toy haulers exist that would hold something as long as an M3W. Would love to see some more photos...
