I do understand the benefits of legislative protection.
I also agree that the driver is and will always remain responsible for the car and its impact, physical, social and ecological.

Seat Belt law - excellent
AirBags - excellent despite the ugly steering wheel issue
Some of the new stuff boils my brains.

Lane warning departure I get but wish I had a simple one button switch off. In road works the damn thing eats rear brakes and gets on my nerves.
Front impact warning - Yup get it above town speeds but in town it has a tendency to brake early and hard and is not adjustable. The wife screams.
Blind spot - yes I like this.

The chassis balance/protection stuff needs a little more granular option or a simple off button for moments when I want to decide at my own risk.
These and the eco-bland vs sport modes (never mind the suspension options) all need a default to get past WLTP and regulations but seem to have little default override.

I want a "soft dashboard".

I would like a personal page on the touchscreen which has one hard button on the dash to select it. It could then be totally programmed with a set of my choices.
A single button that turns lane departure on or off in a single press. Same for Sport+ on the engine map.

Better still a learn function like a "keyboard macro" on a PC. Learn multiple strokes in a single hit.
Get in, it sees your keyfob and selects your profile.
Your personal settings are loaded
Your menu for the other pre-programmed options and placed on the hard dashboard button menu

Lets face it for years we have had windscreen washers/lights/indicators done by the car using sensors. I will often manually turn the dipped lights on when the road is tree covered and sun/shade brings risk in a black car. The Morgan is also low and a small frontal area so having lights on is not a bad thing.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Yes. Autopilot is a hands-on driver assistance system that is intended to be used only with a fully attentive driver. It does not turn a Tesla into a self-driving car nor does it make a car autonomous.
