1979 .... living in Capitola on the edge of Santa Cruz ..... used to set off before dawn up Highway 1 then onto 17 to Scotts Valley for work (early start, early finish cos of the heat) .... Parallel Lines was my go-to cassette bowling along watching the sun come up from my van.
And yes, she was something special back in the day
Thanks Ian ... tried pasting it into the 'youtube video' slot on the menu and removing the s from https but steadfastly stayed as a link ..... must try harder.
Luddite ... could be you're listening on better equipment .... on my phone the slap is manageable .... like the devotional clap of an invisible congregation (sorry, came over all poetic there)
Stewart ..... like Mr Pollock, although the thinking may be partially removed from the actual creative act, there's still been haystack's worth of earnest agonizing and overthinking in smoky rooms to come up with the idea of 'not thinking'
Music (and Art) is a broad church and there's plenty of room for whatever floats our individual boats.

K, maybe my experiences will help you further with youtube links. If I use the youtube app on the iPad and copy a video link, insert it correctly in the youtube frame in TM and also delete the s from https...it doesn't work most of the time!
If I call this same video on youtube in my browser! and copy this from the above www input line, then delete the "s", it always works on TM.
Cheers Heinz ..... I work almost exclusively on my phone ..... just recently it's stopped me pulling down the full www. address from the top of the screen but makes me use the 'share' function ....The link you copy from there is in a format that won't work with TM .... think it might be due to a recent upgrade ... hopefully I can find a way round it.
You have to enter the URL exactly as in the example given. As mentioned, the one you get with the share option won't work but it does contain the ID you need.
Thanks Ian .... that does the trick .... tested it on another track off Parallel Lines .... this is one of my all-time favourite albums that I inexplicably no longer own .... will have to rectify that (but not on cassette this time )
