On a full tank the first couple of gallons goes quite quickly on the gauge and then even's out a bit on mine, about 230 to 240 miles and she needs a big drink.

My Plus 8 is pretty similar to everyones replies, 250 miles or there abouts to fill up. Never really take any notice of the gauge anymore until the orange light comes on then its panic mode. I did manage to to 57ltrs in it once in France, either running on fumes or I got diddled

I've seen my GDI orange light twice. The first time I managed over 40 miles. I suspect on my car the reserve may be two gallons.
The second time was a couple of weeks ago when I was purging last Novembers fuel. I don't enjoy looking at that big orange light.

All the trads I have had have moved the fuel gauge up and down, depending if I am going up hill or down Dale. I always think we'll there must be some petrol in the tank.

Mines the same, over reads going uphill and turns to the right and under reads on the downhill lefty bits! It must be the float, as it stays rock steady on full for the first 50+ miles.

Unlike the Roadster, where the gauge was less accurate than the one on my motorbike, the Plus 8 gauge is accurate and doesn't change much until the fuel level drops to about 20%.
Even then it is still accurate when the car is on the flat.

Ah, Aero gauges.......
My S1 fuel gauge goes from 3/4 when brimmed, to 1/4 when I bottle it & go to a petrol station....
The temp. gauge just has a complete mind of it's own fluctuating wildly & seemingly only able to present something vaguely readable on a trailing throttle, even with a new sensor fitted
