The Librands roll bar has a frame that goes through the luggage area down to the chassis where they bolt on. The upper part bolts onto the top of the wheel arch, the visible rollbar then bolts onto that part. The wooden luggage area shelf is trimmed with cut outs to go round the frame. No major problem but I don’t know if fitted luggage would still fit (Hills Alive type). The bracing bar part of the rollbar is the bit that interferes with easily fitting a windbreaker. The main frame prevented me refitting the original windbreaker mounts, hence why it was stored.

Is the wind blocker efficient with the front/side wind or does it block only the rear wind?

Craig, I am wondering if the blocker also helps to prevent the inside of the front windscreen getting wet? The diagram implies that it might. I find that in light rain / drizzle the inside seems to attract as many droplets as the outside but put that down to the vortex induced by the sun visors.

I don’t know about that, but I know the mesh is filtering the road grime, so it must be keeping the cockpit cleaner.

Thanks Craig. Yes, the back of the head and shirt collars certainly show the grime after a decent drive!

With my blocker (perspex), it does seem to ease the side wind a little bit with the side screens off and, with the side screens on, there is less rain on the inside of the windscreen. Also, less noise in the cockpit!
