I ordered my Roadster in January, the production was halted in mid March and the shipment delayed until all three Morgans were united for a container shipment to the East Coast. My car is now at Morgans of New England awaiting an Intercity truck to deliver it to me in CA. To say that I am anxious is an understatement
This will be my second Morgan, I have a '65 4/4 Series 5 bought in 1990 now undergoing an engine and gearbox transplant to a 1700 cc Crossflow with a T-9 5 speed.
My first question to the group is where within the Forum can I connect wioth other 3.7 owners? I am looking forward to sharing information about the car, owners experiences and issues.
Thanks to all
John Grosseto

Welcome & I hope you have a great time with the car, a good choice.. There are lots of 3.7l Roadster owners on here. Obviously the S! 3l is better

Welcome John, the best sections to meet other 3.7 owners and learn of their foibles together with the cars is the "Classic Morgan" and the "Maintenance & Servicing" sections. Enjoy your miles Out of interest there are quite a number of Americans on the M3W section too some of which may be known to you.

Hi John G. I'm guessing your dealer will have had to fit the engine/trans before you could drive it, prolonging the wait, but it will be worth it. Bear in mind your car will have the 5 link rear suspension with coil over dampers rather than leaf springs. This variant wasn't introduced until April 2018 so bear this in mind if you need to pose questions on the rear suspension.

I ordered my new Morgan through Isis Motors and Bill Fink who I have known for decades. Weeks later he died in a tragic accident so the order was passed on to Morgan Spares. I had met Linda and Larry decades ago and ordered parts so I was comfortable with the change. They installed the engine and road tested the car so it is ready to go...that is, if it ever gets here.
Thanks to all for the welcoming comments

John, Congratulations from another member in the colonies! Have long wanted a Mog of my own but the timing just hasn't been right (yet!). I keep a car out in SF for my trips to Napa/Paso and would love to swing out to Sonora sometime to take a peak at your garage! Mind sharing specs with everyone? Did you go wire wheels or steel? I think the 3.7 will hold up as one of the most versatile and well-powered Trad Mogs to come out of Malvern! Green with envy!

Hello from a fellow 3.7 Roadster owner John.
I am a nearly a whole 5 weeks into ownership (2014 model) and I am very happy with my left field decision to move from mainstream German motors to the Morgan.
I nearly didn't go with the 3.7 as I was getting put off by comments on 'rev hanging'. Maybe I am just lucky (or ignorant) but I've not experienced any issues as yet.
I do not think there's a single time I have taken the car out and failed to receive compliments on the car, it certainly seems to invoke the best in people.
All the best with your adventure.
Steve
