I'll be interested to hear your driving impressions - part of me is surprised you didn't go for the iconic E30 M3. A great daily driver and not going to loose a penny in years to come.

The photo you've posted of the 1M Coupe is the best I've seen - the arches look purposeful and the car doesn't look too compact. Please post more photos when yours arrives. smile

PJH is taking it for a spin, after his last examination (next friday), so NICE pictures will follow
btw: my detailer does the run-in of the engine
and I allowed him to put some promotion stickers on the car
curious how it'll look

E30M3: I needed the rear bench to fold down for my mountainbike so it was or an estate again, or the 1M,
no V8 besides maxie!!!

To get back on topic - has anybody heard anything about this car lately?? Perhaps the purchasers have gotten something they can share. The factory should release at least aN update giving expected delivery dates!!

Robbie - per my earlier post I got the dimensions, but only by asking. The quarterly promised updates do not appear to be forthcoming........

Robbie, the car is still very much in the development stage - and given the duration of the M3W development, you can imagine how long a car as complex as the Morgan EvaGT will take!

What I know is that there is an engine and drivetrain mule and work on the ancillary systems (airbags, etc) are under development. Matt Humphries has posted a photo on Twitter of some interior sketches (although to be honest, they didn't really add much to the story are were more of a teaser - poor show Matt! somestick wink ) but I don't expect to see a working complete prototype for some time (I could be wrong but that is a hunch based on progress thus far).

This is an important car for MMC and as has been discussed on this forum, it is better they take their time and get it right, than rush it and end up with a car that falls below expectations.

nothing before 2013
which is 1year later than first said by MMC,
not unreasonable for such a little company!!!!

if you are not patient: buy a Toyota for example, new model every 3months

in the eighties you waited 8years for a 4/4 with 79hp

But then the deposit was 1/50th of that required for the EVA, you knew what you were getting and when you were getting it.
(Actually I think the maximum wait was 7 years).
Also would not some of the deposits have been taken when the price was rumoured to be £40k? a bit hard on those guys when the last price I heard was £96k

IMHO
when your dealer does his work WELL
he would have told you (like mine did):
don't pay anything before the real thing (drive-able showcar)
is shown,

Morgan isn't Fellali or Polsche were the "supercars" are guaranteed to offer the "super" in the car,
even Jaguar couldn't when they produced the XJ220 (V6turbo instead of the V12)
