When I picked up my car one of the sliding windows had the perspex knob missing. I have now obtained a replacement to fill the hole but how should it fit? is it just a tight fit or should it be glued in & if so any idea as to what is best?

One of mine falls out occasionally and I use a tiny trace of superglue.
Don't overdo this or it will make a mess of the perspex. Use a cocktail stick or similar.

I think they have a little step on them to prevent them going right through and lining up with the rest of the screen.

I think they have a little step on them to prevent them going right through and lining up with the rest of the screen. That’s correct. I used some clear araldite as that’s what I happened go have available and it has been ok for the past couple of years. As already mentioned, apply sparingly or you’ll see it as a smudge.

A thin smear of superglue stuck mine back in when it fell out. I use the gel type of superglue which is easier to control.
