My brake lights stopped working, fitted new switch as supplied by BMW and it has made no difference. I can`t quite see how the switch works.Has anyone any info to help.

Will they come on, but only if you push the pedal really hard? Talk to Keith at BHM. I had the same problem - it was some sort of in-line switch elsewhere, not the one on the pedal, easily rectified. Hopefully that's all it is!

I had the same problem on my car 3 yrs ago, and replaced the in-line switch. Sorry can't remember exactly where it fitted though I seem to recall it may have been down near oil filter under left wing. Part also bought from BHM but digging out invoice there is no p/n.

Good luck curing the problem.

Cheers
