Roof apart it will be superfun!!!! Congrats!!!!! Roof can be removed, although apparently the manual states some H&S about death at high speed if removed From what I've read I can get a softop fitted. Plan is softop for summer, hardtop for winter or softop full time so I can get in & out

Congratulations - it looks great, I love the colour.
Clearly, you're not a shrinking violet, Peter.

T`was a sixties Elan that introduced me as to that which a REAL sports car was. I will ever have a soft spot for Lotus.. Hope you have a GREAT time with your new acquisition.

Eh up where is Howard Awaiting Howard is drooling even if it is a hardtop rather than the more attracivesoft top version!. They really are fabulous cars and if you are young and slim enough you soon learn the technique for getting in. Its "compact " inside - one of my sailing pals is an ex plod ex front row, and we used to have to do synchronised breathing if he was my passenger. Me in as he out and vice versa! Well not quite but we did have a fairly close relationship. Interestingly it was the most reliable car I have ever had. With a short wheel base and a rear weight bias, it handles beautifully until it lets go after which it has similar tendencies to a 911. I would have one rather than the Ferrari any day if I could now easily get in, but I always reckoned that if I wanted a divorce all I had to do was to put a piccie of getting in and out of my Lotus on to Facebook.. I have waited for years for the open top Evora that Lotus have promissed and never delivered. Peter will have to watch himself - its way faster than a Morgan.Plus 8

Eh up where is Howard Awaiting Howard is drooling even if it is a hardtop rather than the more attracivesoft top version!. (Getting it converted) They really are fabulous cars and if you are young (52) and slim (depends at which angle you look at) enough you soon learn the technique for getting in. (Had a Boxster 3.2s and crashed it so unfortunately know by experience now )I would have one rather than the Ferrari any day if I could now easily get in, but I always reckoned that if I wanted a divorce (Finally came through after 5 years & 10 months) all I had to do was to put a piccie of getting in and out of my Lotus on to Facebook.. I have waited for years for the open top Evora that Lotus have promissed and never delivered. Peter will have to watch himself - its way faster than a Morgan.Plus 8

Well enjoy it Peter. Its a real " have to grow old but dont have to grow up" car. A middle aged crisis machine.
