Nevertheless the rain was much worse than average. Here some pictures of the area. Thank god we had left just in time before it reached those levels. (pics are from news reports)

That is much worse than we had it yesterday. Arrived south of Graz and we had heavy rain directly from left to right - don`t know why it hit the ground anyway.
Luckly it is not flat and the water just ran down to the forest.
Good that we did not take the Morgan as the path up to the street turned into a 4WD one.
We had cosy candle light for two hours and are still missing energy in one circuit.
But no serious problems.

Just the hail plane crashed - pilot survived....

We were heading towards Tain.

Torrential rain just as we left so no photos of today's trip home. I've included one from outside the hotel and 3 from a walk into Tain last night.

Hi Gordon, yes definitely yourselves. Blue Mog with hood down just at the corner of Brora. Car was turning right in front of us to go down to the Marine Hotel where Ian and myself had stayed for a couple of nights the week before. Your car looks great by the way.

Cheers

Run out to Ashbourne yesterday in what started as reasonable weather, with a couple of other local Mogs

Chose the wrong route back and stood for ages crawling into Bakewell in all the tourist traffic, and let's just say some heavy precipitation, some lucky, clever sod behind me left his hood up before we set off

Glad to see you are OK. Very sorry to hear about the RTC though. Trust it's not the same white van that hit Keith (BurgundyMog)!
I was just saying to Phil (Treesurveyor) earlier today (good to met you Phil! smile ) that you were joining in the Cotswold Tour.

Is there any chance the owner of the ARP4 could send me the paint code on or just below his VIN plate. I have been trying to get this from the factory but they do not come back to me.
Many thanks.

Just back from a longer weekend out in the MOG.

Reading this: https://www.welt.de/reise/deutschla...ch-ist-die-B3-die-deutsche-Route-66.html
the idea grow up: from Wiesbaden to Taunusstein, on the B275 to Bau Nauheim. Change over to the B3 and up in the north.
Passing Gießen change to small roads to Marburg. Than up to Bad Wildungen. Enough about the B3.

Have a look at the Edersee (and wonder about how low the water is). Edersee wasn‘t our cup of tea, so rolling on in the Hochsauerlandkreis. Hallenberg was the town for our rest. And that the B&B :
http://www.hof-hallenberg.de/
They‘ ve got an own brewery!

That was 200Miles/ 330KM, the first day and always hood down.

Day two I Haden’s the right map. So we improve a little with a VERY simple touristic map and enjoy the Sauerland Area. Again about 120Miles/200KM on small roads with less traffic. Clear: weather was right, hood down, a few raindrops.

Yesterday the way home. The first miles fog and cold, but the journey goes on. Having a look at the Biggesee (in my eyes better than the Edersee) an enjoy a coffee and a cake, than in a more or less straight line home via Hachenburg, Vallendar an the river up on the right (Hessen) side.

Just a last stop near home at the „Kiosk“ in Budenheim for a beer and chips and than the last corners back home. Oh, just from entering Rheinland-Pfalz in the Westerwald - the sun comes out and the hod down.

In summary three great days with a lot of Morganeering.

That sounds like a great trip. I enjoyed our time driving through the black Forrest region last year and would love to return.
