As ever, Alistair, you have neatly summed up the issue. Not only are many cars alike, some are just badge engineered like VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT.. And given the tediousness of looking and buying, the irritation of talking to shiny shoed car salesmen and the expense involved in the process, the least you need is to feel a bit interested or excited by what you are buying. And thats the bit that is missing when the large majority of cars are simply a 4 wheeled "white goods" to be switched on, used and then switched off just like the washing machine. For heavens sake, the only thing at all noteable about the Niro was the battery capacity!

Underwhelming? They dont whelm at all! ooo

What Howard needs is a Morgan.
That would justify all his postings on this forum.

The S1 one is a fantastic sportscar. I have never seen one who is able to drive it in a calm manner.
The S3 is a true multi tool!

Had two of them...

My wife has a red S3 and we both love it very much. You can drive it very PC and as a hooligan.

I'm sure you could also add brass handles and a plush red interior!

Sounds like a Frontline Abingdon GT to me.

Agreed.

So a matching Frontline Abingdon GT and Morgan PlusFour sounds the perfect solution to me. Surely with both workshops/factories being pretty close it wouldn't be that hard to get them to co-ordinate paint, leather etc.

I may have mentioned before but the only non Morgan car I would happily change my +4 SuperSports would be the Frontline MGBGT !!!!

It has the same engine as my car and is beautifully built with that classic Italian design .

I have been lucky enough to drive one and to me it is perfect in everyway !!!...a real sleeper that looks somewhat different to a normal MGBT but it takes a lot of studying to see the subtle visual differences.

Loved it instantly..

Now a +4 SS shooting brake would also work for me...must ring John Wells about a project !!
