Might be worth a word with this guy, summersupholstery.co.uk, after 43 years at MMC there can’t be much he doesn’t know about Morgan trimming.

May be worth a direct call to BAS, they were very helpful to me when I needed to buy some Mohair direct, the chap certainly knew of MMC when we chatted & said they had cut off links to them as unhappy with some factory trading ethics

I had a new hood fitted at the factory but they couldn't fit a glass window, still have the glass one and hoped to have it refitted. If anyone finds someone who can fit it please let me know.

I don’t get why the glass can’t be refitted.

Is the glass bonded to the frame/hood or the rubber surround it sits in?

I’m worried that I’ll have forgo my glass window for the sake of half decent weatherproofing

So I spoke to Shaun today, appears to have been some confusion which he has straightened out.

So he said the information pertaining to BAS is correct (mostly) but its only applicable to MK1.5 hoods onwards, (i.e. Pram style with glass).
The earlier gangster roof with the glass can be re-used. cheers

- that is good news (for some of us at any rate innocent)

Did he give any indication of approximate prices Nick ?

I bought some bits off BAS at the Goodwood revival about 5yrs ago and he mentioned they had a couple of series1 roofs left after their fall out with the factory in black if I remember correctly. They also did work for Newton motors because my brand new four seater was sent there to remedy a dealer cock up. Well worth a ring.

James,

He didn't.. although from experience I reckon it will be a couple of thousand from previous conversations.
Their website does list prices https://allonwhite.co.uk/morgan-car-interiors-trimming but I cannot see Aero 8 listed oddly!

Best bet is to give them a call or I can ask for you when I pop in later to pickup some samples?

My quote from them was £1525 including the VAT but with a plastic window so bet that was for the pram style hood if that's what they thought they were doing. Not sure if gangster style with glass window would be cheaper or more expensive.
