"polished aluminium interior items machined by a renowned Rolls Royce specialist"
It was those bits I was interested in!

I've not seen the Melvyn edge protectors before...I assume they stop the scuffing of the trim by the door lock?

Hey everyone, I am glad I have had your replies, looks like the Aston Martin specialist has been given some false information it looks like the machined parts from rolls royce may just be extra's that with your help have now been identified, the parts in question where the covers for the door locks, door edge protectors, steering column and stalks, disappointing that someone would mislead but I still think the cars is great and i will enjoy every moment so sorry for my opening statement but i was just going by what i was told, anyone see anything else on the car they recognise i would appreciate a thread

Jathinder,

It is possible that your dealer might not have been misled, just possibly misinterpreted. To my mind the bits we have mentioned have a much better finish than standard, so it is possible that they have been machine polished ( a skilled job) rather than made from scratch.

Actually one way to see if some of them are scratch made is to put a magnet to them. If the door lock covers are magnetic then I would be pretty sure that they are John Worral's stainless steel covers. If non magnetic then they probably have been custom made.

Either way, you have a lovely, tastefully upgraded car.

Thanks Jatinder.......I'll have a look for those. Irrespective of where your interior shiny bits come from, you really do have a lovely car and something to be very proud of. Enjoy!!!!
