Yes, that’s the one.
I realised how little I knew when I saw what looked like a choke under the steering column.
I now think it is something to do with cabin heating, but I may be wrong.
Thanks for the kind welcomes.
Hopefully we will meet some of you along the way.
It is a short door, by the way.

Welcome - where in Cumbria are you.
23 years old and 6k miles. Don`t be surprised if hoses and any other rubber bits need replacing.Engine & all oils may need a good flushing out and replacing.

Welcome number 2 from Wales. Lifes will get you sorted. Also, get in touch with Fellmog, your local group. Some very good people there who will help and advise you. Having had to miss the last couple of Morgans at Windermere I am looking forward to going again in 2021. An excellent weekend, especially when tagging on an extended trip.

Hi Phil, I too would like to welcome you to the fold, you have chosen the correct marque and found us... So far so good. (-: You might also like to beam up GoMoG.com as another source of all sorts of technical information. With so few miles covered might be best to break it in easy, as most seldom used cars can throw up the occasional foible... Battery and tyres, oil and brake fluid changes, perhaps even a change of coolant and of course a run round with the grease gun....That should keep you busy for a while... ENJOY

Fuel injection car - no choke. You are correct that the knob you have found operates water valve to the heater.
