I generally fuel up using the tripometer as a guide ~ 250 miles or so, rather than the fuel gauge. To be honest not many of the gauges are to be relied upon. Well, it is a Morgan after all.....

My +8 has always done that, the 4/4 sticks on full till nearly half tank is used and the M3W tells you whatever it is feeling at the time none of it accurate.

No problems with the electricial connections so l guess it must be a float/sender problem. Looks like a big job to remove the tank especially in my tight garage so I'll top the tank up then rely on the trip counter to warn me when its getting low

Most owners rely on the trip miles, even when they have a working gauge as it's less risky
