Not sure if the more modern cars have metric fasteners (my car is mostly imperial but I have used metric stainless in lots of unstressed areas) ..... I have some great spanners with 10mm one end and 13mm the other ....two most used sizes (I also have 17mm one end with 19mm the other)... saves carrying two of each .... if you can't find them elsewhere lots of cars had them as part of the vestigial toolkit in the spare wheel so there's plenty for the taking in any scrapyard.

There's a couple of relays in the void under the passengers footrest. I'll check the tool tray - perhaps the screws holding it down are not biting properly. Thanks.

I am fortunate not to have broken down in any Morgan I have owned. Consequently I am prepared to wait for an hour or so for the AA/RAC to turn up should the need arise. . I admit spare relays are carried.

Apart from a spare relay, my UK kit comprises just a few items tucked into the tool tray. I do keep a head torch in the glove box, just in case. Oh and I forgot; two adjustable spanners; one metric, one imperial. Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Relays and fuses are worth carrying, and perhaps some wire to hang a loose exhaust. Apart from that, roadside repairs are risky on a summers day. In the dark and or wet, time is better spent getting help.

We just completed a 500 mile road trip, we took luggage, bottled water, mints and a credit card. All good.
